Tour Overview

At the scheduled time, we will collect you from your chosen rendezvous point to embark on this day trip to Pompeii and Herculaneum. Say goodbye to Naples as we set off on a journey through time.

After approximately thirty minutes, we will reach Herculaneum, one of Italy's most significant archaeological destinations. Here, you will have 2 hours of leisure to wander through this ancient Roman metropolis that, like Pompeii, was entombed by volcanic ash in 79 AD.

As you navigate the site, you will encounter key remnants of Herculaneum, including the Casa dei Cervi and the Sacello degli Augustali. The included audio guide will relay intriguing stories about the daily lives of its inhabitants and the city’s fateful end.

Once we conclude our visit to Herculaneum, we will board our vehicle and proceed to Pompeii. Upon arrival, your guide will unfold the history of this other ancient city engulfed by the ashes and lava from Vesuvius. You will spend 2 hours uncovering the primary historical sites, including the House of the Faun, the Amphitheatre, and the House of Menander.

Following the archaeological exploration, a delightful dish of pasta or pizza will await you at a traditional Pompeian eatery. What could be a more satisfying conclusion to your day?

After approximately 8 hours, we will journey back to our original departure point in Naples.
