Central Park is New York’s key green-space, popular for relaxation and outdoor activities. A carriage ride allows you to explore this vast park while being driven past notable monuments and landmarks.
The ride lasts 45 or 55 minutes, offering a peaceful experience as you glide through the park.
Each carriage accommodates up to 4 adults or 3 adults and 2 children (under 12 years).
Schedule
Carriage rides are available daily from 10 am to 11 pm.
Important
- New York City enforces regulations for carriage rides, prohibiting operation above 89°F (32°C) or below 19°F (-7°C). Rides will be cancelled during heavy rain or snowfall, but cancellations will allow your ticket to be used the following day.
- There are fewer carriages available between 4 pm and 6:30 pm due to driver shift changes.

You must show your printed ticket to the carriage company called “Central Park Carriages” located on 59th Street and 7th Avenue, in front of 200 Central Park South, NY.
All carriages have the capacity for 4 adults or 3 adults and 2 children under the age of 12.
New York City has set some rules and regulations including, no carriage may operate below 19ºF (-7ºC). In summer, no carriage may operate when temperatures are over 89ºF (32 ºC) or when it rains or snows heavily. If you have booked a carriage ride and it is canceled due to the weather conditions, your ticket will be valid for the following day.
There are less carriages available between 4pm and 6:30pm, since it is when the drivers change their shift.
