We'll convene at the scheduled time near the church of San Ignacio de Olivella to commence this complimentary alternative tour of Palermo. Are you ready to explore the city’s most genuine and artistic vibe?
As we wander through the neighborhoods of La Loggia and La Kalsa, you'll witness the traces of the mafia and the Second World War embedded within the streets. Along the way, we'll discover captivating stories from these locales and observe the rise of urban art in the heart of Sicily.
Focus will also be given to the impactful social commentary expressed through street art murals, as we delve into more traditional aspects of Palermo at the Vucciria market, famed for its fish offerings.
Our exploration will continue at the antiques market situated in Piazza Marina. We'll also visit the oratory of San Lorenzo and approach the historic port of Palermo to admire the Church of Santa Maria della Catena, dating back to the late 15th and early 16th centuries. On the day of the activity, meet your guide at the indicated time at the door of the church of St. Ignatius of Olivella (Piazza Olivella, 1, 90133 Palermo PA, Italy). Please arrive 10 minutes early. You'll recognize the guides by the yellow and red flag (Sicilian flag) or the Italian flag.
