Our first stop will be the Metropolitan Cathedral of Quito, a landmark facing the square. This beautiful structure, which began construction in 1535, showcases a blend of Baroque, Neoclassical, and Mudejar styles. Ascending to the dome, we are treated to a breathtaking panoramic glimpse of the historic center, recognized as a World Heritage Site. From this vantage point, the red rooftops create a stunning vista known as the Face of God.
