We will gather at the entrance of the Mario de Andrade House to commence our walking exploration of Barra Funda, recognized for its groundbreaking architectural evolution within São Paulo.

Barra Funda has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent decades. During our visit, we will encounter historic warehouses transformed into vibrant art galleries, alongside architectural masterpieces by renowned architects such as Oscar Niemeyer and Mario Whately.

Our adventure begins by uncovering the rich heritage of this district, once the residence of Mario de Andrade, a pivotal figure in Brazilian modernism. His museum house stands as an ideal gateway to explore São Paulo's past, present, and future.

As we wander through Barra Funda, we will visit the Latin America Memorial, a creation of Niemeyer dating back over 30 years, showcasing a variety of exhibitions celebrating Latin American culture. Following this, we'll make our way to Parque da Água Branca, a charming park that opened in 1929, originally designed for agricultural shows.
