Standard DMZ Tour

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your selected location in Seoul at the specified time. We will proceed north to uncover the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), stretching 124 miles (200 km) long and 2.5 miles (4 km) wide, it acts as a buffer zone separating North and South Korea.

Upon arrival, we'll delve into notable attractions within this historically significant area. Get ready to explore one of the most formidable locations on the planet. Our first stop will be Freedom Road, which follows the banks of the Imjin River, leading us to Imjingak Park, where you’ll observe artillery from the Korean War.

Next, we will visit the Unification Bridge, constructed in 1998 as a hope for reconciliation between the North and South. An exhibition room within the DMZ will showcase documents and artifacts pertinent to the military conflict as well.

We will then enter the infiltration tunnel, designed to breach the border between the two nations. After this experience, we’ll head to the Dora Observatory, where you will have the chance to observe the North Korean town of Kijongdong through telescopes. While North Koreans refer to it as "Peace Village," it's often labeled as "Propaganda Village" in South Korea and by Western media.

Our tour concludes as we return to the initial meeting point in Seoul, wrapping up this engaging expedition that lasts between 7 to 8.5 hours.

Standard DMZ Tour + Gamaksan Suspension Bridge

Should you choose the option including the Gamaksan Suspension Bridge, the itinerary will remain the same but feature a visit to the Gamaksan Suspension Bridge. This impressive footbridge stretches 220 meters (725 ft) long and is 1.5 meters (5 ft) wide, capable of enduring winds up to 30 meters per second (67 mph) and earthquakes of up to 7 on the Richter scale. A remarkable sight!

Note: This addition is only available during the 7 am time slot.

DMZ Surroundings Tour

Please be aware that the DMZ is closed on Mondays. Therefore, an alternative tour of the surrounding region can be booked, taking us close to the border without officially entering the DMZ.

Our route will commence along the Jogang River, which forms part of the inter-Korean boundary. While we won't pass through DMZ military checkpoints, a stop at a strategic viewpoint overlooking North Korean territory will be included. At the Aegibong checkpoint, presenting your passport will be necessary to access this sensitive geopolitical area.

Next, we will honor the heroes of the Korean War at the Marine Corps Memorial, dedicated to over 15,000 soldiers who served in this sector. Following this, we will discover the Aegibong Peace Ecological Park, a site that marries historical remembrance with ecological renewal.

Wander scenic paths and elevated walkways, including a 150-meter (492-foot) suspension bridge, from which you'll gain stunning views of the no man’s land, now an ecological refuge for more than 80 rare bird species.

We'll also stop at the Peace Bell, cast in 2000 as a symbol of reunification, and visit a memorial altar inaugurated in 2018.

The climax of the tour will be at the Jogang Observatory, the nearest viewpoint to the border, followed by a brief stop for refreshments (at your own cost). The outing will conclude as we return to Seoul after approximately 5 hours.
