Embark on an engaging self-guided day excursion to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius that allows you to explore two of Campania's most iconic attractions at your leisure, utilizing an English audio guide throughout the experience.

Details of the Day Trip

At the arranged time, you will be collected from your chosen meeting point to commence your journey towards Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius, two significant landmarks in Campania that you can explore at your own rhythm.

After approximately 40 to 50 minutes of travel, we will arrive at the Vesuvius National Park, the first highlight of the day. Here, you will be granted 1.5 hours of free time to ascend to the summit and take in the breathtaking vistas at your own pace. Notably, the last eruption occurred in 1944 and lasted almost ten days—an interesting fact to ponder during your exploration!

After your visit to this remarkable crater, you'll board the minibus once again. In around 40 minutes, we will arrive at the renowned ruins of Pompeii, which were tragically engulfed by the eruption in 79 AD. Equipped with a map and an audio guide in English, you will navigate the site freely, pausing at various vital points of interest.

To enhance your experience, we will provide a tailored itinerary spanning approximately two hours, ensuring you do not miss any highlights of this fascinating archaeological site. Must-see locations include the House of the Faun, the Amphitheatre of Pompeii, the Stabian Baths, the Forum, and the Temple of Apollo!

Ultimately, we will reconvene at the minibus to return to our original meeting point, concluding our day trip within a total timeframe of 6 to 7.5 hours.

Audio Guide Information

Please be aware that an English audio guide is available at the Pompeii Archaeological Park. At Vesuvius National Park, participants will engage in a self-guided exploration, as no audio guide is offered in that area.
