Day Excursion: Akrotiri, Red Beach & Oia
Your day begins with a pickup from your chosen meeting location in Santorini. Aboard a comfortable air-conditioned minibus, we embark on our journey to Akrotiri, the Red Beach, and Oia.
The first destination will be the Monastery of Prophet Elias, an Orthodox complex constructed in 1712, perched at the highest elevation of Santorini. Following this, we will venture to the charming village of Pyrgos, situated nearby the monastery. Here, you can meander through its enchanting narrow alleys, an ideal setting for capturing memorable photographs!
Our next stop is the archaeological wonder of Akrotiri, renowned as one of the most significant prehistoric sites in the Eastern Mediterranean. Intriguingly, this location has connections to the legendary lost city of Atlantis.
The preservation of much of the site can be attributed to subsequent volcanic eruptions that encased it. Visitors will witness ancient structures, many adorned with Minoan frescoes showcasing remarkable artistry.
Next, we will arrive at the Red Beach, where you'll have around 40 minutes of leisure time to soak in the scenery and enjoy lunch at one of the local eateries.
Refreshed and ready, we’ll continue our adventure to Fira, the capital of Santorini, offering fantastic photographic opportunities overlooking the Caldera.
Finally, we will journey to the charming village of Oia to witness one of the most renowned sunsets globally – a truly enchanting moment!
Your tour concludes with a return to your original pickup location.

This excursion includes convenient pickup from various hotels and meeting points across Santorini. During the booking process, you will have the opportunity to select the option that best suits you.
Please keep in mind that pickups within Kamari exclude the Costa Grand Hotel.

Please note that the tour group won't go to the bathing area at Playa Roja for safety reasons, as there may be falling rocks. You may, however, choose to swim during your free time at your own risk.
