Silvia Moorland Hiking Experience

Our journey begins at 7 am at the Parque Principal, the central park of Silvia, where we will embark on a hike to explore the breathtaking scenery surrounding this charming town.

Upon booking, you can select between a 4 or 9-hour hiking experience, depending on your preference. Regardless of the option you pick, there's ample opportunity to observe the diverse local flora and fauna while capturing numerous photos of the picturesque Silvia moorlands.

As we trek along an ancestral path that historically linked the departments of Cauca and Huila, you will encounter small springs, towering mountains, and various specimens of frailejones, a common shrub in the region. Notably, this plant, with around 90 different species found in Colombia, grows extremely slowly, taking up to a century to reach a height of 2 meters!

For those opting for the longer 9-hour trek, you will also take part in a ceremony of the Misak people, during which we will present an offering to Mother Earth—a truly profound experience.

Your hike through the Silvia moorlands will conclude back at our starting point at either 11 am or 4 pm, based on the hiking duration you've selected.
