Pompeii Half-Day Trip

Visit the ruins of Pompeii and discover the secrets hidden under the ashes following the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD.

Itinerary

Following a pickup from your hotel or Sorrentino port, we will travel Northwards to Pompeii, arriving in approximately 50 minutes.

We will explore one of the world's most famous archaeological sites and observe the effects of Vesuvius' eruption. The city remained buried until its rediscovery in the 16th century.

During the tour, we will visit key attractions that have been excavated. Our first stop will be the forum, the central meeting place for commerce and social interaction during that period.

As we navigate through the ruins of Pompeii, we will gain insights into daily life for its inhabitants and view thermal baths and the remains of public buildings, including the brothel, known for its erotic frescoes.

Participants will experience the stark contrast between the trapped citizens and the elegance of the wealthiest families' homes.

Before returning to Sorrento, there will be approximately 15 minutes of free time for souvenirs or a quick snack.

The tour concludes back at Sorrento's hotels around 2:30 pm.
