We will convene at the visitor center of Thingvellir National Park, where a bus will transport us through this volcanic landscape recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the trip, our knowledgeable guide will share essential information to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

After a brief journey, we will arrive at the Silfra fissure. Here, we will gear up and commence our snorkelling adventure in this breathtaking natural wonder.

Renowned for its striking visibility of over 262 feet (80 meters) beneath the surface, Silfra is among the top snorkelling destinations globally. Positioned between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, it offers a unique opportunity to snorkel between two continents.

During our 45-minute snorkelling exploration, we will delve into the canyon walls, marvel at the array of blue hues in the crystal-clear waters, and observe the natural flora native to this Icelandic area. As we continue, the fissure broadens into Silfra Hall, where the vibrant colors and remarkable clarity are captivating. Lastly, we will venture into Silfra Cathedral and conclude our snorkelling at the deepest point, known as Real Blue Lagoon.

Key Information

• Swimming ability is mandatory to participate in this activity.
• Pregnant individuals and children under 12 years old are not permitted for this snorkelling adventure. Minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Participants should possess a reasonable fitness level and weigh between 99 and 265 lbs (45 and 120 kg), with a height range of 4.9 to 6.5 ft (150 to 200 cm).
• A liability waiver must be completed and signed prior to participation. Individuals over 60 years of age need to provide a medical document as well.
• Communication in English is required during the tour.
• On the day of your adventure, we will capture GoPro photos both underwater and above. You will receive a link the following day to download these images.
