Experience a memorable day exploring and swimming in pristine natural pools with our San Miguel excursion. Departing from Tingo María, this adventure invites you to fully engage with the stunning beauty of Peru’s landscape.

San Miguel Excursion

Our journey begins at 8 am when we collect you from your hotel in Tingo María. We will then make our way to San Miguel, located in the province of Pachitea. This scenic drive, approximately one hour long, will take us through charming villages across the Peruvian plains, including Cayumba and Chinchavito.

Upon arrival in San Miguel, we will embark on a jungle hike, navigating through a variety of streams, creeks, and lush tropical foliage. After a one-hour trek in the Amazon, we will reach the stunning San Miguel Waterfall, renowned throughout the Huánuco region for its impressive height of 650 feet (200 meters).

You will enjoy some leisure time at this breathtaking locale, perfect for taking photographs, swimming in the natural pool created by the waterfall, or even indulging in sport fishing, as this area is rich in fish.

After a refreshing swim at the waterfall, we’ll retrace our steps back to San Miguel before heading back to Tingo María. We plan to return to your hotel around 3 pm.
