When you make your reservation, you can select from a range of private excursions that vary in duration from 4 to 12 hours. Each trip includes pickup from your hotel, travel in a private vehicle, and guidance from an English-speaking expert. Just select the private day experience that suits your interests!

Temazcal Ritual (4 Hours)

Your adventure begins with a timely pickup from your Tulum hotel for an immersive experience into Mayan traditions. Are you prepared for this journey into authenticity? Let's embark!

The first stop is a traditional Mayan household, where you’ll witness the daily life of the local inhabitants. Discover their culinary practices, tools, lifestyle, and the ancient techniques used to prepare tortillas, which you’ll have the chance to taste freshly made!

Next, we’ll gather in a seashell circle to partake in a ritual that fosters connection with nature. We’ll first seek Mother Nature’s permission to enter the temazcal, where a shaman offers a sacred drink named balché, crafted from honey, tree bark, and various medicinal herbs. Following this, we’ll pass through a fire circle, where the shaman conducts a purification using aromatic plant smoke before we enter the temazcal!

You will experience a 40-minute ritual sauna session filled with prayers and singing aimed at renewing both body and spirit. You will emerge feeling revitalized!

Once the temazcal experience concludes, we’ll refresh ourselves with a dip in a cenote featuring crystalline waters, completing the purification ritual. To wrap up, you will enjoy a light snack of fruit, tea, and water before we head back to your hotel.

Excursion to Kantemo (9.5 Hours)

After your hotel pickup, we’ll journey to Kantemo, a hidden gem in the Yucatán Peninsula renowned for its breathtaking landscapes. The journey will take approximately 3 hours, leading us to where you’ll mount bicycles to traverse a trail through the jungle to the Cave of the Hanging Snakes. Here, you’ll witness a captivating event: snakes hunting bats in midair. Are you ready to experience this astounding natural spectacle?

After spending around 4 hours exploring the cave, we'll embark on our return trip to Tulum, concluding the adventure at your hotel.

Excursion to Río Lagartos & Ek Balam (12 Hours)

Upon your pickup from the accommodation, we’ll head to the Río Lagartos reserve, approximately 3.5 hours away. Here, you’ll embark on an exhilarating 2-hour boat ride to observe the largest flamingo population in North America, as well as a variety of other avian and wildlife.

After a delightful traditional lunch at a restaurant, we’ll continue the journey to the Ek Balam archaeological site. During this 2-hour guided exploration, you’ll uncover the mysteries and marvels of this ancient city, along with its temples and sculptures.

On our return to Tulum, we’ll take a refreshing stop at a cenote before dropping you off at your hotel.

Village Day Trip (12 Hours)

If you are eager to gain an authentic understanding of Mayan culture, this day trip is perfect for you. Following your hotel pickup, we’ll embark on a 3.5-hour journey to the Casa de las Mujeres, a local Mayan community.

Begin the day by learning the process of creating the famous chicken pibil, traditionally prepared underground with heated stones. Explore the village and engage in agricultural activities within the community’s vegetable garden.

Afterward, enjoy the chicken pibil served with hand-made tortillas for lunch. Post-meal, we’ll visit a nearby cenote, where you can swim and snorkel in its crystalline waters, soaking in the enchanting atmosphere.

Finally, we will return you to your hotel.
