Meeting Point

You should make your way to the Mar de Ons ticket office to hand in your ticket. The complete address is 26 Cánovas del Castillo, 36201 Vigo. There, they will indicate the dock at which you should embark. We recommend that you get there at least 30 minutes ahead of time.

Necessary Documents

The Cíes islands are a protected archipelago, with a daily visitor limit, and to be able to visit, you should obtain authorization from the Xunta de Galicia which the local provider will process.

In high season (from May 15 to September 30 and at Easter), once the authorization has been processed, you'll receive it by e-mail. You must bring it with you, as well as this voucher. If you prefer, you can request it at the ticket office on the day of your visit, as long as you arrive at least 25 minutes in advance. The rest of the year, we will not send it to you, as it'll be the guide himself who will bring it on the day of the tour.

If you still haven't received the authorization of the Xunta in your email 24 hours before the date of your visit, you can access the website of the Xunta and download the authorizations by following these steps:

• Once on the page, select option #3 "Search by date and visitor's document"
• After filling in your details, you'll be able to download the authorization directly

If for any reason any of the participants cannot attend the activity, please give at least 15 days' notice and indicate the name and surname of the person who will be absent so that the Xunta de Galicia can remove him/her from the list.

What Does the Tour Include?

The activity includes round-trip sea transport and the management of the permit from the Xunta de Galicia to access the Cies Islands. The service with an English-speaking guide is subject to availability, which will be included while places last.

Ticket Conditions

Tickets can only be provided up to 30 minutes before the boat leaves and in the corresponding dock for your trip.

The ticket is null and void if not used on the day and at the time indicated. The loss of the ticket requires the purchase of a new one.

You must be at the dock 10 minutes before the boat is due to leave with your ticket ready and the authorization to disembark in the Cíes Islands.

The schedules as announced may be modified and the trip may even be canceled due to internal technical or logistical, or organizational reasons, as well as weather conditions or force majeure. Equally, stops on the way may be taken.

Authorization for Campers

If you choose to stay at a campsite in the Cíes, it's the campsite itself that must process the authorizations and cancel them as well. If they are not canceled, the shipping company cannot proceed to cancel the boat tickets.

Regarding the authorizations, once they are associated with a shipping company, then they cannot be linked to another, that is, if they are canceled, they will always have to be canceled and then process new ones.

Thus, if the campsite confirms that it has processed the cancelation of your authorization, in this case, you'll have to contact the shipping company so that, within the established refund period, it can cancel your boat tickets.
