Ponta do Pai Vitório Hiking Excursion

Gathering at Praça Quilombola at the appointed time, we will set out on an exhilarating hiking expedition towards the enchanting viewpoint of Ponta do Pai Vitório located in Búzios.

This moderately challenging hike spans approximately 5 kilometers (3 miles), allowing us to appreciate the striking variety of Búzios' scenery. Our path passes through picturesque bays, including Mosqueiras and Rasa Beaches, where we'll also observe thriving mangrove ecosystems intertwined with the rocky landscape. Interestingly, these unique mangrove habitats attract researchers from across the globe.

Approaching the summit of Ponta do Pai Vitório, we'll delve into the historical significance of the area. Hear the tale associated with a boat and a priest, as well as the somber connections of this natural landmark to the 19th-century slave trade.
