Explore the enchanting landscape of Chiang Rai on a bike and immerse yourself in its key sites with this engaging tour. Discover landmarks such as the renowned White Temple, celebrated for its stunning architecture in northern Thailand!

Tour Options

Upon booking, you will have the choice of selecting one of the following biking excursions. All tours include hotel pickup in Chiang Rai between 8:30 and 8:45 am, followed by transportation back after the activity concludes.

Exploration of the Chiang Rai Countryside (4-5.5 hours)

This biking adventure covers a distance ranging from 12 to 16 miles, guiding us through the picturesque rural landscapes surrounding Chiang Rai.

As we pedal along, we will traverse charming villages and lush rice fields along the Lao River. Here, you will gain insight into the daily lives of the local farming communities in northern Thailand, who primarily engage in agriculture and livestock rearing. Midway through the excursion, we will pause at a local eatery to savor a delightful Thai lunch featuring various regional specialties.

Following lunch, we will return to your hotel, where we expect to arrive between 1 pm and 2 pm.

Visit to the White Temple and Vicinity (4-5.5 hours)

This bicycle tour also departs from Chiang Rai, covering a distance of 12 to 16 miles as we weave through rural villages alongside the Lao River.

Our journey will take us to one of the city’s most celebrated landmarks: the Wat Rong Khun, commonly referred to as the White Temple. This striking site combines Buddhist and Hindu elements, featuring sculptures that blend animal forms with representations of fire, wind, and water.

After exploring the temple, we will recharge with lunch at a nearby local restaurant, providing an excellent opportunity to sample an array of Thai dishes!

Once refreshed, we will take you back to your accommodation in Chiang Rai, expected between 1 and 2 pm.

Combined Tour: Chiang Rai Countryside and White Temple (8-9.5 hours)

This biking route covers a substantial distance of 27 to 34 miles. Initially, we will explore the rural areas adjacent to Chiang Rai and pay a visit to the White Temple.

We will have a meal at a restaurant close to the temple, enjoying a delightful Thai lunch. In the afternoon, we will continue biking to a nearby tea plantation where you will learn about the cultivation of this popular beverage.

After touring the tea fields, we will cycle back to the city center to explore the local market and admire the famous Sitting Buddha of Chiang Rai. Subsequently, we will return you to your hotel, arriving between 5 and 6 pm.

Hotel Pickup

All three tours mentioned previously provide pickup from hotels located in central Chiang Rai. If your accommodation is situated more than 3 miles from the city, we will meet you at the entrance of the Wat Jed Yod temple.
