2, 3 or 4-Day Tour of Villa Rica & Oxapampa

Day 1

Our adventure begins with your pickup from your designated hotel in Villa Rica or the bus station at the arranged time. We will venture into the enchanting Peruvian Central Rainforest. Our first stop is a coffee farm in Villa Rica, where you will discover the cultivation process of coffee plants and enjoy a tasting session.

Next, we will proceed to the Oconal Lagoon for a stroll across this picturesque wetland. A lunch break will follow, after which we will visit the Lion Waterfall. Prepare to uncover the story behind its intriguing name!

Later, we will ascend to the La Cumbre Viewpoint and explore the Los Ositos orchidarium, a whimsical location showcasing a variety of orchid species and other flora.

To conclude our first day, we will visit a coffee quality control laboratory, where you will sample several coffee varieties and learn to distinguish them by aroma, color, and flavor. Your first night will be spent at a hotel in Villa Rica.

Day 2

The second day begins with breakfast before we head to Oxapampa, notable for being one of the initial Austro-German colonies in Peru. You will admire its distinctive European-style architecture, characterized by timber structures and gabled roofs, followed by a visit to a local handicraft shop.

Afterward, we'll visit a dairy facility to observe the production of diverse cheese and yoghurt. A stop at the Warapo, a mill for extracting sugarcane juice, will be next on our agenda.

Following a lunch break, we will explore the Tunki Cave and marvel at its fascinating rock formations. To wrap up the day, you have some free time at a ranch to engage in activities such as horseback riding and canoeing. Finally, we will return to Villa Rica and drop you off at your hotel or station for the night.

2-Day Tour + 1 Additional Day in the Perené Valley

If you opt for this choice, we will spend the second night in Villa Rica and head to the Perené Valley on the morning of the following day. En route, we will view the Cerro de Sal, previously utilized by Indigenous communities for salt extraction. Additionally, we will visit Tincuy, where the valley's two principal rivers converge.

Next, we will engage with an Asháninka community to immerse ourselves in their culture through traditional dances and customs. Our journey will continue to the stunning Bride's Veil and Bayoz Waterfalls followed by a boat trip on the Perené River. We will also stop by a local butterfly farm and zoo before returning to Villa Rica.

2-Day Tour + 1 Day in Pozuzo

At the end of the second day, we will travel to Pozuzo for the night. The following morning, we will embark on a tour of this Austro-German colony, the first in South America. Highlights include the town's entrance gate, the central square, and a replica of the Norton ship, along with a visit to the Schafferer Museum, which provides insights into the history of European settlers.

After a lunch break, we will view the Emperor Wilhelm I Bridge and check out a craft brewery, where a tasting of traditional German beers awaits. At the end of the day, we will head back to Villa Rica.

4-Day Tour

If you wish for a comprehensive experience, the 4-day itinerary is ideal. It encompasses visits to Villa Rica, Oxapampa, Pozuzo, and the Perené Valley, as outlined in earlier segments. Participants will enjoy two nights in Villa Rica and one in Pozuzo.
