Sightseeing Train to the Sanctuary of San Luca

The journey begins at Piazza del Nettuno, where you can board the train at your convenience. Settle into your seat and let the adventure unfold!

In roughly 40 minutes, we will traverse the charming route linking Bologna's historic center to the Sanctuary of the Madonna of San Luca.

As you travel, take in the sights of the longest portico in the world, which extends from the Bonaccorsi Arch to the sanctuary. This remarkable corridor features more than 600 arches!

Upon arriving at the sanctuary, you may disembark the train and explore this significant pilgrimage destination at your leisure. Marvel at its remarkable architecture, wander through the grounds, and relish the stunning views of Bologna from the hillside.

You can ride the sightseeing train back to Bologna whenever you choose.

Bear in mind that the entire experience typically lasts around 2.5 hours.

• The San Luca Express leaves from Piazza del Nettuno at the following intervals: 9:55 am, 10:30 am, 11:10 am, 11:45 am, 12:25 pm, 1 pm, 2:15 pm, 2:55 pm, 4 pm, 4:35 pm, and 5:20 pm.
• The return journey from the sanctuary is available at 10:40 am, 11:15 am, 11:55 am, 12:30 pm, 1:10 pm, 1:45 pm, 3 pm, 3:40 pm, 5 pm, 5:45 pm, and 6:25 pm.

• Be aware that schedules are adaptable and may change. Should the train reach capacity upon your arrival, you will have to wait for the next departure.
