Day Trip Details

We will convene at Largo Carlo Felice at the agreed time to kick off our journey through Campidano Plain, Marmilla Valley, and Giara. As we start our drive, a series of captivating landscapes across the interior of Sardinia will unfold before us; keep an eye out, as we may glimpse some of the wild horses native to this area.

Departing from Cagliari, we will traverse the expansive and stunning Campidano Plain. This one-hour voyage will offer picturesque panoramas featuring olive groves, quaint traditional villages, and rolling hills that showcase the charm of the Marmilla region.

Our itinerary includes a pause in Villamar, a delightful village where you can unwind, enjoy a coffee, and capture some photos. Following this stop, we will proceed to the breathtaking volcanic plateau of Giara, a remarkable site distinguished by its geological features and diverse wildlife.

Here, you will have 1.5 hours of leisure time to navigate this extraordinary area, renowned for its wild Giara horses—a distinctive breed that has roamed freely for ages. You will also find yourself surrounded by native cork oak forests, inviting you to inhale the crisp, clean air.

Finally, we will commence our return trip to Cagliari, completing our journey after a total of 4 hours.
