Tour of Los Alerces National Park
Our adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Esquel at 2:30 pm, followed by a scenic drive to Los Alerces National Park, a picturesque region on the border of Argentina and Chile, rich in Patagonian charm.
We will kick off our journey by crossing the Percey River via the historic "Puente de Fierro" (Iron Bridge), once a vital crossing for traders traveling to Esquel to offer their goods. As we proceed, scenic views of the Terraplén and La Coqueta lagoons will unfold before us, accompanied by glimpses of the majestic Lake Futalaufquen and its namesake village, featuring exquisite stone architecture designed by renowned Buenos Aires architect Alejandro Bustillo.
After basking in these remarkable vistas, we will visit the Alero de Pinturas Rupestres, where ancient rock paintings, over 1600 years old, provide fascinating insights into the Tehuelche culture. Our exploration will take us to nearby viewpoints next to the Museum of Nature, where we will delve into the intriguing characteristics of the region's wildlife.
We will pause at several picturesque locations, including the Futalaufquen lodge and Puerto Limonao. Here, you can enjoy stunning panoramas of serene lakes, towering mountains, lush valleys, and verdant forests—a true immersion in the heart of Patagonian nature!
As the day draws to a close, we will embark on our journey back, with arrival at your hotel in Esquel anticipated around 7:30 pm.

This tour does not include the entrance to Los Alerces National Park. You can buy tickets in advance through the following link on the official website, using a credit card. Otherwise, on the day of the visit, you will have to pay the entrance fee at the ticket office with Argentinean pesos in cash.
