Join us on this exploration of Guadalajara's vibrant art scene, led by an art historian and consultant who will guide us through the city's creative landscape.

Tour Overview

We will convene at Cup Cafe, a quaint venue run by a local artist who not only manages the café but also utilizes it as a studio. Savor a cup of coffee or herbal tea as you engage in conversation with the artist—an ideal beginning to our artistic journey!

Our itinerary includes visits to 3 art galleries and 3 studios, with stops subject to the availability of the featured artists and ongoing exhibitions.

After exploring the first two galleries, we'll take a brief pause to rejuvenate. During this break, you'll be offered 2 drinks to refresh before we continue our artistic adventure.

Here are the typical locations we may explore:

• Sepia Gallery: inaugurated in 2022, this venue frequently changes its exhibitions, showcasing works from both established and upcoming local talents. We will also meet a budding local sculptor in his studio and discuss his captivating creations.
• Tenango Cafe: a charming café that exhibits prints and paintings from local artists, creating a lively atmosphere filled with ingenuity!
• La Bodega: a spacious studio home to an exceptional young ceramic artist and a prominent painter in the city. Both will share insights into their creative methods along with their assistants.
• Taller Casa Gato: a tucked-away studio where two painters explore diverse styles. You'll have the chance to converse with them, gaining a deeper appreciation for their artwork.
• Unnamed Studio: this small creative hub is where two of Guadalajara's most innovative young artists work with painting, printmaking, ceramics, and other mediums. Their passionate explanations of their projects are sure to captivate you.
• No Somos Nada: a concealed gem featuring an art gallery and workspace for seven dynamic young artists from the area, eager to share their inspiring narratives with visitors!
• La Extension: a sizeable collective studio that opened in September 2023, serving as an 'extension' to existing spaces. Expect a constantly evolving display of artwork, including paintings, sculptures, and two printmaking studios. Be prepared for a possible party or event during our visit, to which you'll be welcome to join!

After an enriching 3.5 hours exploring Guadalajara's artistic spaces, we will conclude our insightful tour.
