At the scheduled time, we will convene at the entrance of the Portia winery, located on the outskirts of Gumiel de Izán. Are you prepared for an in-depth wine adventure in the heart of Ribera del Duero?
Our exploration will commence at this stunning winery in Burgos, known for its striking contemporary architecture. We will begin by admiring the remarkable structure that resembles a three-petal flower, a design by the renowned Norman Foster, which serves as a hallmark of the Ribera del Duero region.
Guided by a knowledgeable oenology expert, we will navigate through various rooms of the winery, gaining insights into the meticulous process behind Portia wines. From the selection of grapes to the characteristics of the barrels, this hour-and-a-half visit will enhance your comprehension of the crafting of some of the world’s finest wines.
Concluding our tour, we will partake in a guided tasting of three different wines paired with an aperitif (savoury in the morning and sweet in the afternoon). This promises to be an experience you won’t forget!
