Are you ready to explore a hidden gem within a semiarid terrain? We'll begin by picking you up from your accommodation in João Pessoa at the scheduled time and proceed to the starting point of our 1.5-kilometre (0.93 miles) hike enveloped in nature. Let the exploration commence!

Our trek will guide us to the bed of the Paraíba River, winding through the caatinga, which translates to 'white forest' in the Tupi language. It's fascinating to note that this biome is uniquely Brazilian. During our journey, we'll pause at archaeological sites that mark locations of Tupi Indian habitation, leaving traces of their presence still visible today. We'll encounter inscriptions in red ink that affirm the history of this tribe.

As we reach the conclusion of our trail, the impressive Pedra do Altar awaits, a striking rock feature set amidst waterfalls and natural ofurôs—the small pools formed along the river. This enchanting location within a semi-arid area is sure to captivate you.

After enjoying some leisure time near the waterfalls and natural pools, we'll retrace our steps along the hiking path until we arrive at the restaurant on-site, where you'll have the opportunity to take a break and enjoy lunch, if you desire.

Once recharged, we'll head back to your hotel in João Pessoa, concluding our journey approximately 12 hours after pickup.
