We'll begin the adventure by collecting you from your Mérida accommodation before setting off towards the coastal destination of Progreso. During this journey, prepare to travel back in time to a remarkable period, approximately 66 million years ago, when dinosaurs were the dominant life forms on the Earth!

The first highlight of our trip will be the Meteorite Museum. Inside, you will explore eight different rooms, unveiling fascinating details surrounding the asteroid impact that led to the formation of the Chicxulub crater, which boasts a staggering diameter of over 180 kilometers (111 miles), making it the largest known crater on the planet!

This catastrophic event resulted in the extinction of many species. At the museum, you’ll encounter fossils, lifelike replicas of dinosaurs, and engaging virtual reality exhibits. For those seeking a moment of reflection, a visit to the lookout point offers breathtaking vistas of both the Caribbean Sea and a nearby cenote.

Next, our tour proceeds to the Jurassic Trail, a themed exhibition situated in the port of Chicxulub. Here, visitors will witness life-sized recreations of various dinosaur species. Marvel at the craftsmanship as you observe Velociraptors, Bachiosaurus, Triceratops, Dakotaraptor, and the awe-inspiring T-Rex.
