Our journey will begin at the El Grove port, where you will embark on a leisurely boat trip towards the picturesque Sálvora island. Prepare to explore its enchanting lighthouse and the charming old village, while soaking in the stunning vistas of the Arosa estuary.

Sálvora Island Excursion

At 10 am, we'll depart from the port of El Grove heading towards the enchanting Sálvora island, part of the magnificent Atlantic Islands of Galicia National Park located in Galicia.

Following a brief boat ride across the Arosa estuary, we will arrive at Sálvora's dock, ready for a two and a half hour walking tour of the island. This experience includes visits to two key locations: the lighthouse and the old village.

Did you know that the Sálvora lighthouse had strategic significance during World War II? We will delve into its history! Our exploration will also take us to the old village, where you will encounter its unique granaries.

As we traverse the various trails, keep an eye out for the local wildlife of Sálvora. Before we return to the boat, we will uncover the legend of the island's mermaid, whose statue can be found near the quay.

During our return journey, you can continue to enjoy the breathtaking seascapes of Galicia. We expect to arrive back at the port of El Grove promptly at 2:30 pm.
