Tour Overview

We will convene at the designated time in the historic center of Riga to embark on this free exploration of Latvia's Art Nouveau, a formative artistic movement that enveloped the city in the early 20th century. Our journey begins with a look at the facade of the city’s premier theater, a notable structure that underwent reconstruction following a fire.

Our path will lead us along Elizabetes Street, the epicenter of Art Nouveau in the city. Here, we’ll encounter a captivating selection of buildings, including the renowned structure located at number 10. What hidden delights await inside? Be prepared to be enthralled by its ornate designs featuring stunning masks and regal peacocks!

Continuing our exploration, we will proceed to Alberta Street, affectionately known as the embassy district. Keep an eye out for remarkable Art Nouveau creations by the gifted architect, Mikhail Eisenstein. Known for incorporating elements of romantic nationalism into his work, his architectural creations are truly breathtaking.

Our engaging tour will conclude after approximately 2 to 2.25 hours, concluding at the doorstep of the Art Nouveau Museum located on Alberta Street.
