Experience the blend of nature and spirituality on this excursion to San Sebastián de Garabandal, a charming village nestled in the mountainous regions of Cantabria, renowned for its Marian apparitions.

Excursion Details

At the set departure time, we will journey toward western Cantabria, traversing the scenic views of the Saja-Nansa Natural Park.

After approximately one hour on the road, we will arrive in San Sebastián de Garabandal, a picturesque settlement noted for the series of Marian apparitions reported during the 1960s. From 1961 to 1965, four schoolgirls, unrelated to one another, claimed to witness appearances of the Archangel Michael and the Virgin Mary.

As we wander through the town's charming streets, we will share the stories of these remarkable events, including a visit to the Iglesia de San Sebastián. Guests participating in the morning excursion will have the unique opportunity to attend mass at this historic church, which was built in the 17th century.

Our exploration will continue at the Santuario de los Pinos, a significant site where, tradition holds, the schoolgirls experienced the apparition of the Virgin Mary. Those joining the excursion on a Saturday afternoon will be given the opportunity to pray the rosary in this serene pine grove.

Finally, we will commence our return journey to the departure point, wrapping up this 5.5-hour excursion.

Excursion from Santander

• We will begin from your hotel in the city center.
• If you are not located in Santander, or if you are staying farther away, please make your way to this meeting point in the city: the bus stop at Calle Castelar, 25.

Pickup occurs at both locations at 9 am and 3 pm.

Excursion from Torrelavega

• We will meet you at the Pabellón Municipal La Habana Vieja bus stop, situated on Calle Pintor Varela s/n, at 9:30 am and 3:30 pm.
