Cordoba Day Trip + Mosque Cathedral Tour

Embark on a journey to explore the diverse history of Córdoba, an iconic Andalusian city that showcases the striking differences between the Roman and Caliphate periods.

Trip Overview

Your day begins at 9 am with a pickup from designated locations in Seville, followed by a drive to the ancient capital of Córdoba, once the seat of the caliphate.

On the way, we’ll make a brief stop at Carmona, one of the charming white villages nestled within the Seville province. Soon, we'll arrive in Córdoba, renowned as a World Heritage Site and recognized among Spain's distinguished cities.

Enjoy a guided exploration of Córdoba's historic center, where you will stroll along the scenic Roman Bridge, explore the old Jewish quarter, visit the Royal Stables, and see the Synagogue (note that it is closed on Mondays). Be sure to take a moment to appreciate the vibrant courtyards of Córdoba, perfect for capturing memorable photographs.

Post-tour, you will have some time for lunch on your own, with suggestions from your guide, and approximately 30 to 45 minutes available for personal shopping or wandering.

In the afternoon, delve into the impressive Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba. As you explore its interiors, you’ll be captivated by the spectacular golden mosaics and the intricate decorations adorning the rows of arches and the mihrab, the sacred space pointing towards Mecca. Experience firsthand why this monument is celebrated as a masterpiece of Western Islamic art.

Following the visit to the Mosque-Cathedral, we’ll head back to the original meeting points in Seville, with an expected return time of 7 pm.

Please note that an English-speaking guide for the Mosque-Cathedral can only be guaranteed with a minimum group size. Otherwise, you may be offered options in another language or the use of an audio guide. The remainder of the excursion will be conducted in English.

Important Notes

Be aware that the Córdoba Synagogue is closed on Mondays.
