Tavira Tourist Train Experience

The tourist train in Tavira offers an immersive 50-minute journey, showcasing the most significant landmarks and attractions in this beautiful Portuguese town.

Starting at Rua Jaques Pessoa, 2, the adventure begins as we make our way towards the fishing port, where breathtaking views of the Algarve coast await, along with a visit to the local market. Our next destination is the Vila Galé Hotel, followed by a scenic ride to the Gilão River, an ideal spot for birdwatching.

If you haven't explored Tavira's stunning salt pans, fret not; they will also be visible during our ride, providing glimpses of this unique environment. Continuing our tour, we will delve into the city's historic center to discover numerous monuments, including the Islamic Museum, Nossa Senhora da Piedade Chapel, Hermitage of Sao Roque, and the iconic Tavira Castle, an impressive medieval structure that is nestled within a picturesque garden.

Our journey resumes as we visit additional notable sites in this enchanting city, such as the Santa Maria do Castelo church, the Pousada do Convento da Graça, and the historic Santiago Bridge.
