At a time that suits you, we will pick you up directly from your Arenal accommodation and set off towards La Fortuna. In just one hour, we’ll find ourselves in the heart of sloth habitat. Are you prepared to encounter these drowsy mammals up close?

Your adventure begins as we navigate a 1.5-km path, which is lined with numerous Guarumo trees, the ideal spots for sloths to rest and feed. As we look for the world’s slowest mammal, you’ll gain insights into their behavior, including their sleeping patterns and diet. You might be surprised to learn that certain plants grow on a sloth’s skin, acting as a unique camouflage.

Throughout our 2-hour journey, we’ll be on the lookout for two species of sloths: the two-toed and the three-toed sloths. While observing these gentle creatures, it’s essential to remember that this protected habitat was established to ensure the safety of the species, so we must respect their space and not disturb them.
