Descrição
Discover the magnificent cathedral of Badajoz with this admission ticket. Utilize an audio guide to explore its diverse sections and delve deep into its historical narrative.
Reasons to Explore the Cathedral of Badajoz
The Metropolitan Cathedral of San Juan Bautista stands as one of the prominent treasures within the bounty of Badajoz's cultural heritage.
Your visit, inclusive of an audio guide, will allow you to witness exquisite artistic creations, notably within the Main Chapel, where elements spanning from the 18th to the 21st centuries harmoniously coexist. As you journey through, take a moment to admire the stunning design of the choir stalls, originating from the 16th century.
Within the church's walls, more marvels await, such as the Gothic architecture of the Sagrario Chapel featuring a bronze lamp from the Congress of Deputies in Madrid.
This ticket provides the opportunity to ascend to the viewpoint of the bell tower. Climbing up this 41-meter (131 feet) structure entails conquering 142 steps, but the stunning vistas of the city from the summit are truly rewarding!
By choosing the full-entry option, you gain access to the cloister, which contains the Italian Renaissance tomb of Lorenzo Suárez de Figueroa, who served as an ambassador to the Catholic Monarchs. This package also allows entry to the Cathedral Museum of Badajoz, home to significant artworks, including masterpieces by Morales, El Greco, Arellano, Palomino, Bocanegra, and Orrente.
