Sanber Winery Tour

Embark on a captivating exploration of the Sanber winery, where you will delve into its rich history and uncover the art of producing wines from southern Paraná. A tasting experience is also part of the journey!

Tour Selections

Upon making your reservation, you can select from two tour options. Both journeys begin and conclude at the entrance of the Sanber winery, feature an English-speaking guide, and include a tasting of 12 distinct wines. Below are further details for each option:

Standard Tour (1.5 hours)

Your adventure begins as we convene at the entrance to the winery, stepping inside to immerse ourselves in the rich history, dedication, and passion that have defined the spirit of Bituruna.

The tour kicks off within the museum and historic residence of Sanber, a testament to time's passage. As we enter, the gentle creaking of the wooden floors paired with an old Italian tune softly playing on a turntable creates an inviting atmosphere. Each room showcases vintage furniture and sepia-toned photographs filled with history.

Once familiar with the origins of Sanber, we proceed to the winery's facilities. Here, the winemakers will disclose the intricacies of winemaking. We will also stroll through the vineyards, learning about grape selection, pressing processes, fermentation in stainless-steel tanks, and barrel aging. The enticing aromas of must and oak will accompany us throughout this section of the tour.

Next, we will make our way to the tasting room, where we will sample 12 diverse Sanber wine labels, which include reds, whites, sparkling wines, and rosés. A highlight of this selection is Casca Dura, a distinguished wine from Bituruna, celebrated for its robust character, depth, and a structure that embodies the essence of the region.

• Schedule: This tour runs Tuesday through Sunday at 8 am and 2 pm.

Tour + Tractor Ride (2.5 hours)

This option closely follows the standard itinerary, with the addition of a tractor ride through the vineyards aboard a Sanber winery tractor. This extended experience also takes us through a lovely Araucaria forest for a picturesque touch before concluding with the wine tasting.
