Day Trip Overview

After being collected from your selected meeting point or accommodation in Bucharest, we will travel northward, traversing the legendary forests of Transylvania.

Your first destination will be Sinaia, a picturesque town nestled in Wallachia, where we will explore the grand Peles Castle. This castle served as a summer retreat for the Romanian royal family, and you will have the opportunity to wander through its spacious halls, adorned in the style of the late 19th century, a period marked by the construction efforts of King Charles I.

Our next stop takes us to the enchanting city of Bra?ov. As we drive towards this historic city, we will delve into its rich history and notable landmarks. Upon arrival, you will enjoy 1.5 hours of free time to explore the charming city center or savor a meal at one of the local eateries.

Post-lunch, our journey continues to Bran Castle. Once we arrive, we will provide insights for your self-guided exploration. Discover the story of Vlad III “the Impaler,” the notorious figure from the 15th century, who inspired Bram Stoker’s renowned novel Dracula. As you navigate its corridors, you will uncover how this iconic character has become a true symbol of Transylvania.

After your visit to Bran Castle, we will commence our return to Bucharest, taking in the scenic beauty of the landscape from the comfort of our vehicle.

Admission Information

Kindly note that admission tickets are not included in the tour cost. It is advisable to secure your tickets ahead of time, as they can sell out rapidly, particularly on weekends and holidays.

We suggest reserving your tickets at least 7 days in advance, but no sooner than 30 days prior to your visit, since tickets are not released earlier. Last-minute purchases may risk the unavailability of tickets for Peles Castle. If that's the case, a visit to Peli?or Castle is an alternative option.

• For access to Peles Castle, please select a time slot between 9 am or 9:15 am and 11 am. Instructions for acquiring the tickets will be provided in your booking confirmation.
• When visiting Bran Castle, choose a time between 12 pm and 1 pm or 3 pm. The booking confirmation will indicate the specific time slot to reserve as well as links for ticket purchases.

Even with pre-purchased tickets, be prepared to wait in lines, as security checks may cause slight delays in entry.

Adjustments to Itinerary

It is important to note that Peles Castle is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays throughout the year. Should your visit fall on one of these days, we will observe the exterior of the castle instead, and additionally, explore an exhibition of medieval torture devices in Bran.

The itinerary may be modified based on traffic patterns and seasonal activities such as holidays. During peak tourist seasons, longer wait times should be anticipated.

Peles Castle will undergo general cleaning and maintenance on select days from November to December 2026. Weather permitting, you will be allowed to visit Peli?or Castle, and sufficient time will be allocated for exploring the grounds of Peles Castle.
