Danube River Cruise
Descrição
For those exploring Hungary's capital, a cruise on the Danube River is an essential experience. This boat journey through Budapest provides a distinctive adventure, allowing you to choose between a scenic daytime trip or a captivating excursion at sunset, on vessels operated by the Silverline company.
Cruise on the Danube
No visit to Hungary's capital would be complete without embarking on a boat journey in Budapest. Through this experience, you will participate in an unforgettable cruise along the Danube River aboard a vessel from the Silverline company.
Your journey will commence from Pier 11 in Budapest, where a warm welcome from the crew awaits. Get ready to navigate the Danube's waters! During this boat ride, an audio guide in English will narrate the history of the city, while you can unwind with a drink from the onboard bar.
We will initiate our cruise by traversing the right bank of the second-largest river in Europe. Our first landmark will be the Széchenyi Chain Bridge, Budapest's most iconic crossing. Continuing along, we will admire the beautiful Parliament of Budapest, a stunning example of Neo-Gothic architecture.
After taking in the impressive exterior of this parliamentary building, we will reverse course at Margaret Island. Following that, we will observe the bell tower of the Matthias Church and the stunning viewpoint at the Fisherman's Bastion.
As our boat ride proceeds along the left bank of the Danube, we will view the dome of the Buda Castle, the prominent Citadel, and the luxurious facade of the Hotel Gellért.
To conclude our journey, we will return to the right bank to appreciate the National Theatre and the historic Central Market Hall, constructed in the late 19th century. Did you know it's the largest market in Hungary?
Ultimately, after a leisurely hour-long cruise on the Danube, we will wrap up this unforgettable boat experience by returning to our starting point.
