Montevideo 2-Day Tour

Embark on a day trip from Buenos Aires where you have the option to travel to Montevideo via a direct ferry or make a stop in Colonia del Sacramento before continuing by bus to the Uruguayan capital. Both options include one night's accommodation with breakfast and a panoramic tour of Montevideo.

Ferry to Colonia + Bus to Montevideo + Tour

Day 1

On the first day, be at the Puerto Madero terminal by 7:15 am. At 8:30 am, your journey begins as you board a Buquebus ferry for a scenic crossing of the Río de la Plata. You will arrive at the Colonia del Sacramento port by 9:30 am. Upon disembarking, Buquebus personnel will direct you to the bus that will take you to Montevideo, departing from the same terminal.

After approximately 3 hours of travel, you will reach the Terminal Tres Cruces. From this bus station, embark on a panoramic tour of Montevideo led by an English-speaking guide in a minibus or bus.

Your tour will commence in the port area and proceed to the Plaza de la Independencia, which is the cultural heart of the city. Following this, you will have 2 hours at El Fogón restaurant for lunch. After your meal, continue along Avenida 18 de Julio to visit the Estadio Centenario. You will also have a chance to see the famous letters spelling out the city's name along the Rambla.

You will have one hour for shopping along the Rambla before returning to the port. There, another vehicle will be waiting to transport you to your hotel in the capital. Spend the rest of the day at your convenience.

Day 2

After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy leisure time in Montevideo until around 4 pm, when you will be picked up for the transfer to Terminal Tres Cruces. From there, travel back to the port of Colonia del Sacramento to board the ferry departing at 8:15 pm. You'll arrive at the Puerto Madero dock in Buenos Aires around 9:30 pm.

Direct Ferry to Montevideo + Tour

Day 1

Your day begins at 6 am at the Puerto Madero dock, where you'll set sail on a Buquebus ferry to Montevideo at 7 am.

After a 2.5-hour ferry ride, arrive at the Uruguayan capital's port, where your panoramic tour of Montevideo will begin from the pier.

After the tour, you will be taken to a hotel in the city center, allowing you the rest of the day for personal exploration.

Day 2

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and spend the day at your leisure until a 5 pm pickup for the trip back to the port of Montevideo. There, board the direct ferry to Buenos Aires, arriving at Puerto Madero at 10:15 pm.

Regardless of the selected tour option, you will receive 1 night of accommodation with breakfast at NH Columbia hotel or a similar venue. Note that prices are listed per person in a double room, accommodating a maximum of two adults or one adult with one child.
