Carmenere Wine Experience

Our adventure begins promptly at 10 am at the Tourist House of the Viña Santa Rita winery. We'll kick off the day by exploring the vineyards in a charming horse-drawn carriage. During this delightful ride, you will discover the rich history of this iconic winery, which has evolved into a premier destination for wine tourism in the picturesque town of Buin.

As we journey through the vineyards, we will pass by the monolith honoring the Carmenere variety, a significant marker where this particular grape was rediscovered in 1994. The narrative of these vineyards unfolds, showcasing their ability to produce exceptional Chilean wines with distinctive characteristics. Following the carriage ride, our next stop is the winery named after the 120 patriots, where we will delve into the stories behind its namesakes.

This winery plays a pivotal role in the history of the company, reflecting its most remarkable legacy. Viña Santa Rita has also been a witness to influential events that have shaped Chile's past. You will be fascinated to learn about the origins of its vineyards, with roots reaching back many decades.

To conclude this immersive experience, we will enjoy a tasting of three exceptional Carmenere wines, paired with a selection of local cheeses, biscuits, and nuts. As a memorable takeaway, participants will receive a wooden cheese board at the end of the tasting session, around 11:30 am.
