Tour Overview

We will convene at the designated hour in front of Bar Happy, situated on Calle 25 in Cárdenas. From there, we will meander through the historic district of the city, visiting the impressive work of a notable Cuban artist along Gastón Street. This will lead us to explore the spiritual essence of Cuba in an open-air gallery brimming with sculptures and artistic representations.

Following this captivating exploration, our journey continues as we navigate the vibrant streets of Cárdenas in search of a refreshing guarapo and a coffee. As we stroll, we’ll appreciate the vibrant colors of the local residences and make a stop at the renowned statue of Christopher Columbus and the Hotel la Dominica, where we will sample some exceptional rum.

Our adventure will proceed with a delightful horse-drawn carriage ride through the charming avenues of Cárdenas towards Happy Bar. Here, you’ll join a hands-on Cuban cooking class to create a traditional meal. While awaiting our culinary creations, you’ll also learn to mix classic Cuban cocktails and engage in a friendly game of dominoes.

During the tasting session, you will experience three varieties of Cuban rums, exploring their distinct colors, aromas, and characteristics, while uncovering the rich history that surrounds them. Additionally, we will discuss the cigar production process and enjoy guided tasting tips from one of the region's most distinguished bartenders. A sampling of a chocolate liqueur will precede a satisfying conclusion with a rich coffee.

To wrap up our experience, participants will receive a certificate of participation before we return to the starting point, concluding our 5-hour journey together.
