Lake Titicaca Day Trip by Sleeper Bus

Embark on a journey to uncover the enchanting landscapes of Lake Titicaca with this day trip via sleeper bus departing from Cusco. Here, you will visit the floating islands of Uros and gain insight into the daily lives of their residents.

Day Trip Overview

Our adventure begins at the specified hour at Alameda Pachacuteq in Cusco, where we will board a sleeper bus heading directly to Puno.

After a restful overnight journey, we will arrive at dawn, where you will have the opportunity to check into a lodge. Here, you can drop off your luggage, enjoy breakfast, and take some time to recharge before our day of exploration.

About 1.5 hours later, you will be picked up for the start of your Lake Titicaca tour. Our first destination will be the renowned floating islands of Uros, where you'll discover the traditional methods that locals have used for generations to construct their homes using totora reeds.

Next, we will proceed to the island of Amantaní, a true treasure nestled in the lake. The friendly inhabitants will welcome us warmly as we delve into the island's heritage, lifestyle, and customs.

Following this visit, we’ll board a boat heading to the Llachón Peninsula, where a delightful lunch with breathtaking views of Lake Titicaca awaits. You'll also have some free time to observe the daily routines of this vibrant community and learn more about their traditions.

In the afternoon, we will return by boat to Puno, arriving back at the lodge near Plaza de Armas. Here, you can unwind, take a shower, explore the town, and enjoy dinner at one of the local eateries.

As night falls, we will reconvene to begin our return journey via sleeper bus. We anticipate reaching Cusco the following morning around 5 am, allowing you to take a taxi to your hotel.

It’s important to note that once you arrive back in Cusco, a taxi ride from Alameda Pachacuteq to your hotel is included, provided your accommodation is located in the city center.
