At your selected time, our team will collect you from your accommodation and escort you to the San Blas district, located in the vibrant heart of Cusco. Upon arrival, you will be warmly received into the residence of a local musician from Cusco, where the rich traditions of San Blas come to life.

The session will unfold with a chronological exploration of the musical landscape of Cusco, highlighting various instruments. You'll discover the quena or pututu, predating the Incan civilization, the charango from the colonial era, and the cajón, rooted in Afro-Peruvian culture. A captivating demonstration will accompany this journey, allowing you to hear the distinctive sounds of each instrument.

Next, we'll gather at a handicraft workshop, where you will have the chance to create your own panpipe, or zampoña in Spanish. This traditional wind instrument is constructed from reeds similarly to a flute.

Guided by the musician’s expertise, you'll learn to assemble the various tubes of different lengths, pre-tuned for your convenience, to produce your distinctive set of panpipes. You will also have the chance to perform a simple melody on your own!

At the conclusion of the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to bring your handmade panpipes home as a cherished souvenir. If you wish, you can even play your panpipes alongside the professional musician!

After dedicating two hours to this enriching experience, we will return you to your hotel in Cusco.
