The castle is structured into three principal segments: the gallery of paintings, the royal suites, and the library.
In the painting gallery, admire masterpieces, including the Portrait of Cardinal Richelieu by Philippe de Champaigne and the exquisite painting of Simonetta Vespucci by Piero di Cosimo, an icon of early Italian Renaissance.
Within the apartments, you will find lavish royal rooms, elegantly restored in the 19th century by the Duke of Aumale. The library houses a remarkable collection, exceeding 60,000 volumes, among which is The Very Rich Hours of the Duke of Berry, often regarded as the most stunning manuscript globally.
Discovering the Grandes Écuries (Stables)
At Les Grandes Écuries, witness the splendid Chantilly stables, where you can interact with their beautiful French horses. This section also features the Horse Museum, which chronicles the rich history of horsemanship.

The extensive gardens of Chantilly encompass a beautifully designed French park encircling the château. This vast green expanse is split into three sections: the grand parterre of Le Nôtre, the Anglo-Chinese garden, and the English garden, each deserving of your visit!
Visiting Hours Until March 31, 2026
The Château de Chantilly welcomes guests daily (except Tuesdays) from 10:30 am until 5 pm.
On these same days, the gardens are accessible from 10:30 am to 6 pm.
The Grands Écuries (stables), open during these hours, can be visited between 12 pm and 5 pm.
Note that final admission is granted one hour before closing time. These hours are subject to change.
The castle will be closed from January 5 to 23, 2026 and on September 13, 2026. For preservation efforts, the Reading Room will not be available starting January 23, 2026.
Skip-the-Line Access
Choosing this ticket option allows you to bypass the lines typically found at the ticket offices of the Château de Chantilly. However, please be aware that there may still be a short wait for entry due to security checks.

Opening Times Until March 31, 2026
The Château de Chantilly is open every day of the week (except Tuesdays) from 10:30 am to 5 pm.
On the same days, the château gardens are open from 10:30 am to 6 pm.
The Grandes Écuaries (stables), which are also open on the same days, can be visited from 12 noon to 5 pm.
In all cases, the final admission is 1 hour before closing time. However, these opening times are flexible and subject to change.
The castle will be closed from January 5 to 23, 2026 and on September 13, 2026. For conservation reasons, the Reading Room will be unavailable from January 23, 2026.
