Chinese Cooking Course

Every visit to Chengdu, recognized as a UNESCO City of Gastronomy, is incomplete without engaging in a Chinese cooking workshop. This interactive experience allows you to discover the art of creating local culinary delights.

Details of the Cooking Workshop

We will gather at the designated hour at the Liang Jia Xiang metro station. From there, our journey will take us to a Chengdu local market, where we will explore various food stalls to collect all necessary ingredients for our cooking adventure. We’ll dedicate about an hour to learning about the essential components of Sichuan cuisine while immersing ourselves in the rich scents and vivid colors of the spices.

Following our market visit, we will proceed to a traditional courtyard where the cooking class will unfold. Upon arrival, enjoy a cup of Sichuan Gaiwan tea as we prepare to delve into the culinary arts under the guidance of an experienced chef.

By the end of the session, participants will master some of the iconic dishes of Sichuan cuisine and have a chance to sample their creations—let’s see if you’ve earned the title of chef! As a keepsake of this cooking experience, a diploma will be awarded at the conclusion of our 5-hour session, leaving you with satisfied palates and full stomachs.
