At the scheduled meeting time, we will gather at Austurgata Street to embark on our kayaking journey along the Stykkishólmur coast. This engaging adventure provides a chance to observe the marine fauna of western Iceland!

Following a brief introduction, we will equip ourselves and set off into the waters of Breiðafjörður Bay. This stunning area is celebrated for its pristine islands and diverse wildlife. Departing from the picturesque port of Stykkishólmur—often recognized as one of Iceland's most charming towns—we will uncover the hidden treasures of this magnificent region.

Over the course of 2 hours, we will navigate through a breathtaking landscape featuring volcanic formations and glaciers. Once you feel comfortable in your kayak, we will venture farther from the shore in pursuit of puffins and seals. Keep your eyes peeled!

Our journey will also include an exploration of a shipwreck. We will get close to this stranded vessel and share the intriguing circumstances surrounding its fate. Lastly, before we return, we will delve into the captivating history of the rugged Snaefellsnes peninsula.

We will conclude our coastal kayaking tour in Stykkishólmur back at our original meeting point.
