Kuala Lumpur Food Tour Routes

When making your reservation, you'll have the choice between two different food tour routes. The meeting point for both options is Pasar Seni station.

Flavours of Malaysia Tour (4 hours)

Departing from the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel, you'll begin your tour by heading to the Chow Kit district, the location of one of Kuala Lumpur's biggest markets: the Baru Chow Kit Bazaar. Experience a treat for your senses as you take in the sights, smells and tastes of the main flavours of the local gastronomy.

Exotic fruits, fresh meat and fish, brightly coloured vegetables... you'll have the opportunity to try a variety of different delights of Malaysia's cuisine. Amongst the Southeast Asian country's mouth-watering specialities, a few highlights are grilled meat kebabs, laksa lemak curry soup and nasi lemak, a traditional rice dish that may include anything from coconut milk to chicken to fried eggs.

As you explore the Wet Market, the name for markets in this area of the world which sell fresh meat, fish, produce, and other perishable goods, you'll get to taste the fusion of flavours that make Indo-Malaysian food so delicious. You'll also be offered the chance to sample durian, an infamous fruit with an unusual characteristic...!

At the end of your guided market tour, you'll be left to continue exploring the parts of the market that interest you the most.

Street Food Tour (3.5 hours)

Having met your guide, you'll delve into the centre of Kuala Lumpur in search of the Malaysian capital's best street food stalls. Discover how the locals handmake pao, the famous stuffed dumplings that are a true culinary treat. As well as sampling these and other delicious typical specialities, you'll learn fascinating stories related to some of Malaysia's most popular cultural customs.

Your guide will also reveal the long tradition of street food stalls in Kuala Lumpur as you hop between the different local vendors. At the end of the tour, you'll have time to buy any of the delicious products you've tried (not included).
