We will gather at the Brasov County History Museum at the scheduled time to commence our hiking tour in Ciocanu. Are you prepared for an adventure?

From there, we will embark on an hour-long drive towards Ciocanu, a picturesque Transylvanian village enveloped by breathtaking nature and towering mountains. The journey promises stunning vistas of the Bucegi Natural Park, the Piatra Craiului National Park, and the Postavaru Massif.

Upon arrival, we will initiate a 2-hour hike in the Piatra Craiului Mountains, acting as a natural boundary between the former Austro-Hungarian Empire and Romania. You will surely find it captivating!

As we trek, the enchanting natural beauty of this secluded village will unfold before us. You might spot numerous cows and sheep roaming the pastures, as many locals are engaged in cattle and sheep farming. Throughout our 6.2-7.5 mile (10-12 km) trek, we will share intriguing legends and fascinating facts about the area.

Post-hike, a delightful lunch will be ready for us in a quaint home, featuring homemade cheeses, sausages, locally grown vegetables, preserves, and pickles that will tantalize your taste buds!

After a fulfilling 4-hour excursion, we will return to our original meeting point in Brasov.
