Excursion to Honolulo Waterfall

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your lodging in Tingo Maria at 8 am. Together, we will travel south towards the Honolulo waterfall, renowned as one of the remarkable attractions in this area.

To reach the reserve housing the waterfall, our route includes crossing a suspension bridge spanning the Huallaga River. Following this, we will embark on a 1.5-hour hike along a pedestrian trail that leads deep into the jungle, guiding us to the magnificent Honolulo waterfall.

This breathtaking 98.5 ft (30 meters) high waterfall is embraced by a picturesque setting featuring crystal-clear natural pools, vibrant plant life, and impressive rock formations.

During your visit, you'll have some leisure time to fully appreciate the waterfall and wander about the area. Keep an eye out for various wildlife that call this tropical forest home, including butterflies, spiders, and birds like the oilbird and the striking Andean cock-of-the-rock!

Ultimately, we will retrace our steps back to the transport awaiting us, ensuring a return to Tingo Maria. You can expect to be back at your hotels around 2 pm.
