Excursion to Ischigualasto Provincial Park

Following your pickup from the hotel in San Juan at the appointed hour, we will proceed along the historic National Route 150 towards Ischigualasto Provincial Park. This stunning area, often referred to as the Valley of the Moon, boasts surreal geologic formations.

Upon arriving at the park, our journey begins with a leisurely four-hour hike through Ischigualasto. This trek will lead us to various remarkable rock formations, including highlights such as the submarine, the worm, and the mushroom. You'll learn about how erosion has sculpted these stones into their fascinating forms over millennia. The vistas here are truly unforgettable!

At the Ischigualasto Provincial Park, recognized as a World Heritage Site, we will also explore the infamous Bowling Court. This expansive area is adorned with massive spherical stones, reminiscent of the Moon's surface. To conclude our exploration, we will make our way to the Valle Pintado viewpoint, another gem of natural beauty within the park.

The hiking concludes at the Ischigualasto Interpretation Center, where you will enjoy two hours at your leisure to explore the exhibits and have lunch (not included) - an ideal chance to sample the local cuisine!

After your meal, we will head back to your hotel in San Juan, bringing this memorable experience to a close after a total of 12 hours.
