With this cable car ticket, you'll ascend from the Schwägalp station to the summit of Säntis—2,502 m (8,208 ft) above sea level and the highest peak of the Alpstein massif—in just 10 minutes!

During the ride, you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over Lake Constance. Once at the top, you’ll be treated to extraordinary vistas stretching across Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, and Germany.

At the Summit

Once you reach the summit of Mount Säntis, you'll be free to explore and enjoy the breathtaking alpine scenery at your own pace.

At Säntis, several viewpoints offer spectacular panoramic vistas. From these lookout spots, you'll even be able to admire the Piz Bernina, the only peak in the Eastern Alps that rises above 4,000 m (13,123 ft).

If you're a fan of alpine hiking, this is the perfect place to be. From Säntis, numerous trails lead to nearby peaks such as Kronberg and Ebenalp, offering fantastic opportunities to explore the surrounding landscape.

And when it’s time to relax, the Säntis mountain station features the panoramic restaurant Säntisgipfel. Here, you can enjoy delicious traditional dishes from Appenzellerland and Toggenburg, all while taking in an unforgettable view.

Opening Hours

The cable car operates during the following hours:

• Until October 12, 2025: Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm; Saturdays and Sundays from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm.
• From October 13, 2025 to February 13, 2026: Monday to Sunday from 8:30 am to 5 pm.
• From February 14 to April 30, 2026: Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm; Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 5 pm.
• From May 1 to October 31, 2026: the cable car will not be operational due to maintenance.
