Tour Overview

We will gather at the designated car park at Parque dos Condes de Monforte de Lemos, where our exciting expedition begins as we delve into the unique vineyard vistas of the Ribeira del Miño.

Our first destination will be the Monastery of Ferreira de Pantón, renowned for being a prime example of Romanesque architecture within the Ribeira Sacra and home to nuns since the 10th century.

Next, we'll visit the church of San Paio de Diomondi, a remarkable 12th-century structure that transports visitors back to the medieval era. You might be intrigued to learn about the inscriptions adorning its walls that tell part of its fascinating history, which we will reveal to you!

Our journey continues to the church of Santo Estevo de Ribas do Miño, perched on a natural lookout offering stunning vistas of the Minho River. Here, we can admire the steep vineyard-covered slopes and the river's winding path.

At this stage of our tour, we’ll take a moment for lunch to replenish our energy. Once refreshed, we will embark on a relaxing 2-hour boat excursion on the Minho River, further exploring the storied viticulture that characterizes the Ribeira Sacra.

To conclude our exploration of the Ribeira do Minho, we’ll make our way to the Cabo do Mundo viewpoint, where we will be treated to breathtaking views of the meander sculpted by the river throughout the years.

After an enriching 8-hour tour, we will return to our starting point in Monforte de Lemos.
