Day Visit to Tikal

Your excursion begins with a pickup from your hotel in Flores, followed by a bus journey to Tikal National Park, renowned for being the most significant Maya archaeological site in Guatemala, situated approximately an hour away.

Upon arrival at Tikal National Park, the significance of this historic site will instantly become evident. You'll find yourself enveloped in Maya culture as we make our way through this vast complex, which features over 3,000 structures that have been unearthed by archaeologists thus far.

Guided by an expert in Maya heritage, you will discover the intriguing history of this ancient Mesoamerican civilization. Central to Maya life was religion, clearly illustrated by the various temples we will visit, including the Temple of the Masks, the Temple of the Great Jaguar, the Temple of the Jaguar Priest, and the remarkable Temple IV, the tallest structure in Tikal.

While exploring the park, we will pause to enjoy a meal, featuring vegetable soup as the starter and a choice of chicken, beef, or pork as the main dish, served with rice or vegetables (vegetarian options are available). A refreshing drink will also be provided. After the meal, you will have leisure time to further discover this monumental Maya city.

After soaking in the magnificence of these hidden Maya ruins, we will return to Flores by bus, concluding the tour.

Tour Options

During the reservation process, you can select from three options:

• Sunrise tour: This option begins the day at 3 am, allowing us to arrive at the ruins just in time for sunrise. Breakfast will be included instead of lunch.
• Afternoon tour: Starting at 8 am, this option includes lunch.
• Sunset tour: If you choose this, we will pick you up at 11:30 am to witness the sunset at Tikal. Lunch will also be included.
