Mike Wagner, Charlton Heston, John Wayne… these names surely resonate, don’t they? Our journey begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Durango, leading you to some of the most memorable filming sites from the Wild West saga.

The tour will first take us to the stunningly beautiful Peña del Águila reservoir, where eucalyptus trees and candelilla shrubs create a picturesque backdrop. Just a short 20-minute drive from there lies La Joya ranch, once owned by John Wayne. This charming location has served as the backdrop for movies like The Sons of Katie Elder and the Texas Rising series.

Next, we’ll proceed to the quaint village of San Vicente de Chupaderos. Strolling through its historic streets, we'll visit the old saloon, the sheriff's office, the gallows, and the cemetery. You may recognize this town, as it was also featured in films like White Feather.

To truly step into the life of a cowboy, we’ll tour the Villas del Oeste Theme Park, which served as the set for over 150 national and international productions during the 60s and 70s. Explore the ghost town filled with a jail, saloon, and prepare for an entertaining cancan dancer show and a thrilling duel—where gunfire might just surprise you!

After our day steeped in Western lore, we will return to your hotel in Durango, concluding about 5.5 hours of exploration.
